In a bizarre event, a 41-year-old Dutch man was cleared to donate his sperm to the clinics after the court learned the man has nearly 550-600 children worldwide. The court ordered Jonathan Jacob Meijer– the person involved in the shocking development– to stop donating his sperm to fertility clinics immediately and foist an excellent of more than 100,000 Euros (Rs 90,41,657).
On the report to a description by BBC, the court had premature bolted him from giving to hospitals in the Netherlands in 2017 following it appeared he had more than 100 children. However, he did not stop and pursue his online and offline business.
While audience the case, a court in The Hague managed him to provide a comprehensive list of the clinics he had used and attach the hospitals still present his sperm should destroy at the earliest.
Citing the local media reports, the UK-based issue said that Meijer was said to have an audience of hundreds of women.
According to the Dutch impersonal direction, a donor should not father further than 25 children in 12 ménage. Shockingly, the court was enlightened that the man had helped to produce children between 550-600. The man disclosed that he had begun this business in 2007.

The surprising occurrence came to light after a foundation saved donor children’s rights and the mother of one of the children supposedly fathered from his sperm described to the authorities.
“The point is that this relatedness network with hundreds of half-brothers and half-sisters is too large,” BBC recite a spokesman for the court, Gert-Mark Smelt.
“All these parents have now opposed to the actuality that the children in their family are a slice of a huge relatedness network, with hundreds of half-siblings, which they did not pick,” Smelt added.
Further, while striking a massive sanction, the court noted it was “sufficiently reasonable” that this has or could have adverse psychosocial outcomes for the children.

On Friday, a court in the Netherlands banned a man from contributing more of his sperm after feeling of fathering more than 550 children. Jonathan Jacob Meijer, aged 41, could be clarified more than 100,000 Euros (Rs 90,41,657) if he endeavours to bestow again, BBC describes.
The shocking case came to publicity after a base and the mother of one of the children classified a lawsuit against him in Hague. The judge who caught the civil case said the donor “misled prospective parents about the number of children he had hitherto fathered in the past.”
“All these parents are now challenged that the children in their family are slices of a huge kindred network, with hundreds of half-siblings, which they did not choose. The court prohibits the appellant from donating his semen to new prospective parents after issuing this judgement,” Judge Hesselink said in a decision on Friday.
He has also been instructed not to expose any prospective parents “with the want that he was willing to present semen… advertise his favour to prospective parents or join any company that orthodox contact between proposed parents,” Mr Hesselink added,
Mr Meijer contributed his sperm to at least 13 clinics, with 11 discovered in the Netherlands. According to Dutch impersonal guidelines, sperm donors should not contribute to more than 12 women or should not father over 25 children. This prevents accidental breeding and psychological problems in children who may get disturbed after studying that they have hundreds of siblings.
However, he did produce between 550 and 600 children since he donated sperm in 2007. In 2017, he was banned from contributing to fertility clinics in the Netherlands. Instead of stopping, he carried on contributing sperm there and online.
The mother of one of the children in the bench instance said she appreciated that the court had stopped the man from ”mass contribution that [have] unfurl like wildfire to other countries”.
“I’m asking the donor to regard our interests and to accept the decision because our children warrant to be left alone,” she said in a formal statement.
However, the donor’s attorney said in a court audience that he wanted to help parents who would otherwise be unable to conceive. A musician by profession, Mr Meijer now lives in Kenya.
