The Amazon founder, 59, is engaged to the Emmy-winning journalist, 53, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
The happy news came as the couple were on vacation jointly in the South of France. Over the weekend, the pair were photographed enjoying a cheeky outing and attended the premiere of Apple Original Films’ “Destroyer of the Flower Moon” at the Cannes Film Festival.
The helicopter pilot was also seen rocking a ring on that finger on Sunday while they spent time together on the billionaire’s $500 million yacht, Koru. The same yacht features a wooden sculpture made in the likeness of Sanchez. Attached to the ship’s prow, the design includes a necklace featuring the symbol for Koru, which is Māori for loop or coil. It’s based on the spiral shape of an unfurling silver fern frond — a unique character to the couple.
Koru symbolizes new beginnings — which Bezos has cited before on his Instagram — and a new phase of life, positive change, personal growth, and hope for the future.

The newly engaged couple took their relationship public in January 2019, after Bezos announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott, with whom he shares four children, after 25 years of marriage.
At the time, the erstwhile Good Day LA co-host was also separate from her husband of 13 years, Patrick Whitesell. Sánchez has two children with the agent and a son from a preceding relationship with former NFL star Tony Gonzalez.
Over the years, Bezos and Sánchez have continued to grow together, with the couple going on family vacations, advocating for climate change and packing on the PDA.
“Happy birthday to the man of my creativity, who brightens my world with laughter and a kind heart. You have shown me that no great devotion is not bravely fought for,” Sánchez wrote in a loving post about his birthday in January.
“I am so beholden for the memories we have produced and the adventures yet to come,” she added. “Here’s to many more birthdays filled with love and laughter.”

Since walking down as CEO of Amazon in February 2021, Bezos has focused his efforts on conservation and his space exploration company, Blue Origin. Sánchez has been with him each step of the way, and the pair are both dedicated to their work for the Bezos Earth Fund, an initiative they launched to help fight climate change, which she co-chairs.
Back in November, during a joint interview, the Amazon founder told CNN he plans to give away most of his $124 billion fortune in his lifetime, focusing primarily on fighting climate change and supporting others who can help improve the deep divide over social and political issues.
“The hard part appears out how to do it in a forced way,” he said of his philanthropic strategy. “It’s not easy, and building Amazon was not calm. It took a quantity of hard work, a bunch of brilliant teammates, hard-working teammates, and I’m finding — and I think Lauren is finding the same thing — that charity and philanthropy are very similar.”

A Business, Today report reveals that the 59-year-old billionaire proposed to his girlfriend on his superyacht, Koru, worth USD 500 million. The couple was sailing around the Mediterranean Sea at the time of the dreamy proposal, and Sanchez’s family also joined them.
The report also added that Sanchez’s engagement ring is a 20-carat diamond studded and shaped like a heart.
The 53-year-old former journalist was spotted wearing the stunning ring earlier this week, and rumours of their engagement have been doing rounds since then. However, no wedding date has been confirmed, and the couple has not formally announced their engagement.
Bezos and Sanchez began dating in 2018 and have managed to maintain a proportional low profile since then. However, they are often spotted at public events and make headlines.
As per reports, the two-level in love while working on a project for Bezos’ company, Blue Origin. The rocket company made headlines recently for winning a NASA agreement to land astronauts on the moon, and the USD 3.4 billion contract was received by the company last week.
Circling back to Sanchez and Bezos, the award-winning former journalist had penned a romantic birthday wish for the business mogul in January this year, and the picture went viral quickly.

Meanwhile, Sanchez, a former anchor and actor, was earlier married to Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell. The former couple has two kids, Ella and Evan. Sanchez also has a son named Nikko with her first husband, Tony Gonzalez.
